The demonstration version operates with 24-bit public-keys and 32-bit symmetric password keys. These key strengths are all weak, are all easily hackable within a week or less, and may all be exported.

Canada permits export of cryptographic software under the General Export Permit No. 39. You can view my local copy of it or the original located on the Department of Justice Canada website.

The permit allows up to 128-bit symmetric key cryptosystems, and although the permit does not mention it, I believe export is permitted up to 512-bit public key cryptosystems. Nonetheless, the Wassenaar Arrangement previously limited export to 40-bits, so I am a bit uneasy about exporting `dangerous weapons' to foreign countries.
